Welcome To Joe Quinn Tax Ltd
After leaving college and until 1989, Joe worked for HMRC as an Inspector of Taxes with their Specialist Investigations department in Liverpool. Whilst with that office he was responsible for investigating tax fraud, primarily in Northern Ireland.
Joe left HMRC to join KPMG, one of the “Big 4” accountancy firms where he was a Director. He left in 2008 to take up an appointment as a Director with the international law firm Pinsent Masons. During his time with both KPMG and Pinsent Masons, Joe assisted clients ranging from multi-nationals to sole traders and private individuals who were under investigation or in dispute with HMRC.
Throughout his time in professional practice, Joe has given technical and tactical support to innumerable firms of accountants and solicitors who do not normally offer this specialised service to their own clients. Since the mid-1990s he has developed a particular tax specialism in the professional football industry. He wrote the very first publication “Taxation for Footballers” for the PFA and was co-opted on to the FA Premier League’s committees dealing with the taxation of Agents’ Fees and Image Rights.
Joe Quinn is an articulate and much sought after speaker and has given talks on tax enquiries, disputes and investigations throughout the UK.
